Hello
Welcome to my space. My story is rooted in resilience, healing, and purpose. I created this platform to share not only what I do, but why I do it.
My journey with fibroids transformed my life in ways I never expected. What began as a difficult, painful, and often isolating experience became the foundation of my calling to support women navigating similar challenges. Through surgery, recovery, and emotional healing, I learned firsthand how important guidance, community, and compassionate care truly are.
Today, I use my personal experience and professional background to empower women as they reclaim their health, confidence, and identity. On this site, you'll find tools, resources, education, and programs designed to help women thrive—physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Whether you are starting your healing journey or seeking support along the way, you are not alone. My mission is to walk with you, remind you of your strength, and help you build a life you feel good in.
My Story
Isleigh Anderson is a social worker, therapist, life coach, mentor, doctoral student, and fibroid survivor, working in the mental health field. After personally experiencing fibroids, she underwent a myomectomy surgery on December 12, 2024. Isleigh was inspired to turn her journey into advocacy and education for other women facing similar experiences, giving her unique insight into the physical, emotional, and mental impacts of fibroids, as well as the gaps in support and information that many women encounter.
Passionate about empowering others, Isleigh combines her professional expertise with her lived experiences to provide compassionate guidance and practical support. She is deeply committed to creating spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and equipped to navigate challenges in their health and personal growth. Her approachable, culturally informed perspective allows her to connect authentically with the women she serves, fostering trust and resilience.
Isleigh graduated with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Bethune-Cookman University, earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Clark Atlanta University with a concentration in Health and Mental Health, and is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice at Tiffin University. In addition to her formal education, she completed a life coaching certificate through Morehouse School of Medicine, focusing on supporting justice-involved individuals. Isleigh brings a compassionate and relatable approach to her work, combining professional expertise with lived experience. She is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve personal growth.
Through Her Fibroid Journey, Isleigh provides education, support, and empowerment for women navigating fibroids. Recognizing that Black women are disproportionately affected and often face misrepresentation, disparities in care, and a lack of clear information, she created this platform to ensure women have access to accurate, reliable guidance. She offers evidence-based resources, coping strategies, motivational tips, and a safe community for sharing experiences. Her goal is to reduce isolation, dispel confusion, and equip women with the tools they need to advocate for their own health.
Isleigh’s work is informed by both professional training and lived experience, and she is committed to creating safe, empowering, and culturally informed spaces where individuals can heal, grow, and thrive. By sharing her story and creating Her Fibroid Journey, Isleigh empowers Black women to make informed decisions, navigate their health with confidence, and approach their fibroid journey with clarity and resilience.
